Owls, Eagles and Falcons: The Grade 2s Field Trip

JFerguson
On Wednesday, March 7th, many MacLachlan students went to Mountsberg Conservation Area. When the Grade Two classes arrived they met their guide Rob. Rob brought them to a classroom and taught us about different kids of birds. We got to touch the wings and feet of raptors like owls, eagles, vultures and falcons. After the Grade 2s went outside and saw owls, eagles and one type of vulture. We also went to a theatre and our guide showed us some owls close up. After lunch, students went to a farm and saw a variety of other animals. We also went on a wagon ride and learned how to make maple syrup and even got to try some! We went back on a wagon pulled by horses and saw a puppet show about how to make maple syrup. The Grade 2s had an amazing field trip.
