Our exceptional Lower School (Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 6) and Upper School (Grade 7 to 12) co-educational learning environments are centred on academic excellence and an ongoing commitment to the latest innovations in education.

Housed in a historic mansion in Olde Oakville, MacLachlan was founded in 1978 with the commitment to challenge and explore the limitations of traditional education by developing a bold and creative vision that promotes an entrepreneurial, success-driven and future-oriented mindset that is integrated into every aspect of school life.

The 2024-2025 school year marks an exciting and impactful transition for our school community. After over 45 years in operation, MacLachlan College will have two Oakville campuses. The growth of our school community is a testament to the outstanding and enriching educational experiences our students enjoy at MacLachlan.

Our Lower School Campus at 337 Trafalgar Road is now dedicated to our Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 6 students and our new Upper School Campus at 2794 South Sheridan Way welcomes our Grade 7 to Grade 12 students.

Academic Excellence

Always raising the bar on excellence, MacLachlan is accredited as an IB World School, offering the IB Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) in our Lower School from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 6, and offering Advanced Placement (AP) in our high school grades, preparing students for future success at leading universities in Canada and abroad.

International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement are some of the most rigorous and highly esteemed education programs and are evaluated to ensure adherence to standards of excellence.
