Fulford Debate Success at Spring Tournament

MacLachlan College students delivered an outstanding performance at the Fulford Debate Spring Tournament, held on Saturday, April 11th at The York School.

Zahid earned 1st place overall as an individual, while Tara placed 5th. These strong results led our senior team to a 1st place finish in the overall standings, marking an impressive end to the season.

Our junior debaters, Rania and Thomas, also performed exceptionally well, earning scores in the high 80s and low 90s, a promising sign for the future of the program. Michael stepped in as a senior swing debater, while Mercy demonstrated initiative by taking on a moderation role when needed, both contributing meaningfully to the team’s success.

This achievement reflects not only the hard work and dedication of our students, but also the ongoing support and coaching provided by our teachers. Congratulations to all involved on a fantastic season!
