Grade 8 French Students Celebrate Culture at the Poutine Café

Our Grade 8 French students recently brought their learning to life during the annual Poutine Café. As part of their exploration of French Canadian culture, students worked in teams to design their own unique poutine recipes and present their dishes in French.

Each group prepared their creation, explained their ingredients and concept, and shared samples with classmates and judges. The activity encouraged students to practice their speaking skills while building confidence, creativity, and teamwork.

Experiential learning opportunities like this allow students to engage with language in a meaningful way while celebrating the culture behind it.
