As part of their Human Rights unit, Grade 3 students visited the Oakville Museum at Erchless Estate to learn about Oakville’s involvement in the Underground Railroad.
Through guided exploration, students discovered how individuals and communities demonstrated courage and compassion in the pursuit of freedom. The visit provided a powerful connection between their classroom studies and the important role Oakville played in Canadian history.
To prepare future-ready individuals, we need to share and instill common values across our school community and embed these values in everything we do.
