Grade 9 students recently visited the historic Niagara Parks Power Station to deepen their understanding of electricity and its impact on society.
During their visit, students explored the evolution of hydroelectric power, descended 180 feet to a 2,200 foot tunnel, and took in sweeping views of the Niagara River from the observation deck. Through guided exploration and discussion, they analyzed the social, environmental, and economic implications of hydroelectric energy and evaluated sustainable energy production and consumption practices.
To prepare future-ready individuals, we need to share and instill common values across our school community and embed these values in everything we do.
