Celebrating Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas at MacLachlan College

Our community came together to celebrate Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas!

Families, students, and staff gathered in the Lower School gymnasium for an afternoon of colourful crafts, traditional foods, and engaging activities that highlighted the beauty and meaning behind these important cultural celebrations. The event offered a chance for students to learn about the significance of Diwali, the Festival of Lights, and Bandi Chhor Divas, a day that symbolizes freedom and compassion.

The celebrations continued at the Upper School, where our lunch menu featured a Festival of Lights Coconut Curry, and our Parents’ Association shared special treats and snacks with students and staff.

We extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this wonderful event and helped make it a memorable celebration!
