Day 2 of RCIS 2026 Australia took our MAC delegates to one of the world’s most remarkable natural environments, the Great Barrier Reef.

Travelling by boat to Moore Reef, students and teachers spent the afternoon snorkelling and discovering the incredible marine life beneath the surface. Along the way, they learned more about the reef ecosystem, the species that call it home, and the importance of protecting this unique environment.

The group also experienced the reef from several different perspectives, including a glass-bottom boat tour and a semi-submersible tour, with some time for fun on the waterslide too.

After returning from the reef, the group enjoyed dinner along the waterfront followed by a walk along the Esplanade. The evening concluded with the opportunity to watch and take part in Three Moons, a Chinese cultural celebration.
