Congratulations to our Grade 5 and Grade 7 students on their outstanding work in this year’s Beacon Project. Their dedication, creativity, and care are something they should all be incredibly proud of.

The Beacon Project is MacLachlan College’s cross-divisional philanthropic initiative, bringing students together to explore meaningful causes, connect with charities, and develop proposals focused on making an impact.

Working in teams, Grade 5 students led outreach, while Grade 7 students applied financial literacy and presentation skills to bring their ideas to life. Fifteen teams presented to a panel of teachers, with the top three advancing to present to senior leadership. One team was selected to receive $500 in support of their chosen cause.
