Rachel joined the MacLachlan College community in Grade 5 after beginning her education in French Immersion at Pineland in Burlington. She continued studying French throughout her time at Mac and carried that skill forward into university and her professional life, where she continues to use it today.

While at MacLachlan, Rachel was deeply involved in school life. She served as a prefect, played in the school band during assemblies, performed in school productions including The Wizard of Oz, and participated in floor hockey and Duke of Edinburgh trips. She describes her experience at MAC as both academically enriching and personally formative.

Rachel fondly recalls the dedication and support of her teachers, including Mr. Dominato, Mr. Piening, Mrs. Bright, Mrs. Jabbour, Ms. Amin, Mrs. Syrota, Mrs. Martin, and Ms. Butterfield. She reflects that the strong sense of connection and belonging she felt at MacLachlan was unmatched in her later educational experiences.

Academically, Rachel credits MacLachlan with preparing her well for the years ahead. The school helped her develop strong study habits, critical thinking skills, time management, leadership, and confidence in public speaking, while also teaching her how to balance responsibilities and build meaningful relationships.

Rachel completed Grade 12 at Millbrook, a boarding school, before attending the University of Tampa, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Entrepreneurship. Following university, she returned home to join her family’s business and is now embracing motherhood.

Looking back, Rachel credits MacLachlan College with shaping not only her academic foundation, but also her values and sense of purpose. She remains deeply grateful for her time at Mac and looks forward to returning to campus to see how the community continues to grow.
