I research criticality in networks, specifically those that model brains. Although I knew I would want to end up in physics, I wasn't sure what I'd be doing in physics or if I'd even be able to find unanswered questions to work on. I'm really glad that I ended up where I am, being a published physicist is a bit of a dream come true!
I went to Sheridan College for Marketing, I then went to Ryerson for Medical Physics with minors in math and philosophy. I am currently at Ryerson doing a Masters in Complex Systems Physics!
A lot of the classes I took at MacLachlan focused on not just being able to find solutions to problems but also be adept at communicating those solutions. This has been integral to my ability to communicate research in both academic and public settings.
The teachers at MacLachlan College really care about student success and will take the time to check in on your child to make sure they actually understand the concepts and won't let them be left behind in class.
We know that to prepare future-ready individuals we must share and instill common values throughout the entire school community and permeate all of our activities with a core set of values.
