Outstanding Success at the Spring Fulford for MacLachlan Debaters

The final tournament of the year brought outstanding success for MacLachlan debaters. Powerfully propelled by Micah Albert's first-place individual finish on the senior side, the team of Micah and Aisha Mahmoud finished first overall in the senior team standings to bring home The George Taylor Fulford Trophy.

As well, Ava Knul set aside her first-debate jitters to place 5th overall in the junior individual standings. Claudia Martinez Ponce de Leon, also debating for her first time at the Fulford, felt certain that she gave a strong showing in all of her debates. Observers Kimberly Archer and Tara Abouzeid ably supported their team and gained valuable experience at the event.

As you can see below, the resolutions had students thinking on their feet and trying hard to bring current events into focus.
