Exploring the World of Genetics and Molecular Biology
Our Grade 11 and 12 Biology students spent the day at the Ontario Science Centre to explore Genetics and Molecular Biology. They participated in a hands-on biotechnology laboratory workshop where they transformed E. coli bacteria using a gene from a bioluminescent jellyfish.
The day at the Ontario Science Centre was not only a chance for our students to deepen their understanding of Genetics and Molecular Biology, but also an opportunity to develop crucial skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and experimental design.
To prepare future-ready individuals, we need to share and instill common values across our school community and embed these values in everything we do.
