Exploring the Outdoors: Grade 5 Visit the Kortright Centre for Conservation
The fifth-grade classes took a trip to the Kortright Centre for Conservation in Woodbridge as part of their "Citizens of Planet Earth" unit.
This excursion provided an opportunity for hands-on learning experiences and direct observation of nature. While walking the trail to the sugar bush, students enjoyed discovering how sap is produced and flows within the tree, identifying maple trees, and learning how maple syrup producers tap their trees for sap.
To prepare future-ready individuals, we need to share and instill common values across our school community and embed these values in everything we do.
