Today, our MacLachlan school community is wearing orange in observance of Truth & Reconciliation Day, which took place on September 30th.
We honour the survivors of residential schools and remember those who did not make it home. It's a day to reflect, learn, and stand together in solidarity with Indigenous communities across Canada.
Through education, we empower ourselves to be part of the healing process, to stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities, and to ensure a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
To prepare future-ready individuals, we need to share and instill common values across our school community and embed these values in everything we do.
