0.5 Intermediate/Senior Mathematics and Science Teacher
MacLachlan College is seeking an experienced Mathematics/Science teacher to fill a half time position for the 2018/2019 school year. The position will involve teaching a combination of 7 and/or 8 Science courses and Grade 9 and/or 10 Mathematics courses. The successful candidate will have an Ontario Teacher’s Certificate or equivalent and relevant teaching experience. Familiarity with TI calculator, SMART Board and iPad technology will be an asset.
IB-PYP Homeroom Teacher
(Maternity Placement for the 2018/2019 school year)
Candidates must have an Ontario Teacher’s Certificate or equivalent, a minimum of level 1 IB-PYP qualifications and relevant teaching experience. The successful candidate will bring a hands-on approach to the classroom that actively engages the students and develops them as critical thinkers and problem solvers using inquiry based classroom strategies. Familiarity with SMART Board and iPad technology will be an asset.
Full-time Teacher’s Assistant
Candidates must have an Early Childhood Education (E.C.E) diploma and be a registered member of the College of Early Childhood Educators. This full-time position requires a responsible, enthusiastic team member to assist a Primary division (PK-Grade 3) classroom teacher and also includes after school supervision responsibilities.
Duties will include:
-Assisting in creating a safe and stimulating educational environment for
-Assisting with daily classroom routines
-Under the direction of the classroom teacher, work one-on-one with both individual students and small groups of students
-Supervise students during morning recess and lunchtime
-Supervise in the aftercare program
