Today, our Grade 6 students immersed themselves in a hands-on Build Day, fully led by their own creativity. In this cross-curricular project, each student group chose an inspiring figure meaningful to them—ranging from Princess Diana to Albert Einstein and Emma Watson—and designed a public monument to honor their legacy. From ideation to final design, students considered how each monument would reflect their chosen figure’s values and serve as a meaningful space for the community.
Throughout the day, the energy was electric as students collaborated to bring their visions to life, learning not only about history and design but also about the impact of public art.
To prepare future-ready individuals, we need to share and instill common values across our school community and embed these values in everything we do.
